DUBAI // An Emirati man was killed in a road accident on Monday morning, Dubai Police said.
Col Saif Al Mazrouei, director of the General Department of Traffic, said the incident took place at about 10am on Emirates Road.
“The incident involved a GMC and two vehicles on Emirates Road near the Dubai Club bridge towards Sharjah, before the Al Khawaneej exit,” he said. “The GMC driver was killed when his vehicle collided with a car stopped in traffic, which, in turn, hit a lorry.”
Col Al Mazrouei said that the incident caused heavy congestion and he urged motorists to drive carefully and abide by traffic rules.
