RAS AL KHAIMAH // Problems which have caused two years of delays in the construction of the Al Qusseidat-Shaml Road in Ras Al Khaimah have almost been resolved, according to the Ministry of Public Works.

The road was scheduled to be completed two years ago, but now a final deadline of the first quarter of 2015 has been announced by the ministry.

Mohammed Al Mansouri, head of the execution department at the Ministry, said that problems with the project were overcome with the help of other entities.

He said that a contractor is currently performing maintenance work on parts of the road as heavy lorry traffic have caused parts of it to deteriorate.

The Al Nakheel traffic junction will be inaugurated next week, in time for UAE National Day celebrations.
