Dubai Tram system construction ‘90% complete’



DUBAI// Construction work on the Dubai Tram system is more than 90 per cent complete, reported state news agency Wam.

Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the board and executive director of the Roads and Transport Authority, said the tram’s depot and all related maintenance works are expected to be completed by August.

The depot comprises 11 environment-friendly buildings and can accommodate 25 trams.

The tram network has 11 stations and work on the entire project is due to be completed in November.
