Dubai RTA to launch number plates starting with zero

DUBAI // The first number plates for vehicles starting with the digit zero will be offered in May, said the Roads and Transport Authority.

“Launching this new initiative signals RTA’s commitment to respond to the needs of customers aspiring to obtain distinctive plates, and the RTA would issue a limited number of distinctive plates in respect of some codes,” said Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the board and executive directors of the RTA.

“Over the next few weeks, the RTA will identify the numbers and codes to be issued under the Zero Code to customers through open auctions or direct sales at Customer Service Centre.”
