DUBAI // The metro, tram, bus and customer service centre timings were announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the National and Commemoration Day holidays.
The Green Line stations on the Dubai Metro will start service on December 1 and 2 from 5.50am and run until midnight. The service on December 3 will continue until 1am the following day. The Green Line service will run on December 4 from 10am to 1am and on December 5 and 6 stations will open from 5.50am until midnight, according to Moaza Al Marri of the RTA.
Red Line stations will operate services on December 1 and 2 from 5.30am until midnight and on December 3 until 1am the following day. The Red Line service on December 4 will run from 10am until 1am and on December 5 and 6 stations will work from 5.30 am until midnight.
RTA customers service centres will be shut from December 1 and reopen on December 6. Vehicle testing and registration centres will close for the holidays and reopen on December 5.
Paid parking zones all over Dubai, except for the fish market parking and the multilevel parking terminals, will be free from December 1 and fees will be charged from December 5.
The Dubai tram service from December 1 to 3 runs from 6.30am to 1am; on December 4 from 9am to 1am and on December 5 and 6 from 6.30am to 1am.
Metro feeder bus services at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall, Burj Khalifa, Etisalat and Abu Hail stations will run from 5.15am until 1.10am. Inter-city bus services at main stations such as Al Ghubaiba will operate around the clock to Sharjah and from 5am until 11.40pm to Abu Dhabi.
The Water Bus service at Marina station will run from 12pm until midnight, the Water Taxi service will operate from Al Ghubaiba station from 10am until 6pm, at Marina Mall station from 2pm until 10pm, at Palm Jumeirah-Atlantis from 9am to 8pm and Palm Jumeirah–Rixos from 11am to 7pm.
The Dubai Ferry will make three trips from Al Ghubaiba Station to Marina Mall at 11am, 1pm and 6.30pm. At Marina Station, the ferry has three Al Ghubaiba-bound trips at 11am, 1pm and 6.30pm. A one-hour trip will operate to Burj Al Arab at 3pm and Atlantis Hotel at 5pm.

Dr Amal Khalid Alias revealed a recent case of a woman with daughters, who specifically wanted a boy.
A semen analysis of the father showed abnormal sperm so the couple required IVF.
Out of 21 eggs collected, six were unused leaving 15 suitable for IVF.
A specific procedure was used, called intracytoplasmic sperm injection where a single sperm cell is inserted into the egg.
On day three of the process, 14 embryos were biopsied for gender selection.
The next day, a pre-implantation genetic report revealed four normal male embryos, three female and seven abnormal samples.
Day five of the treatment saw two male embryos transferred to the patient.
The woman recorded a positive pregnancy test two weeks later.
