Delays on Sheikh Zayed road after accident

DUBAI // Delays of up to one hour in Jebel Ali this morning were the result of a car accident. The accident happened on the Abu Dhabi bound side of Sheikh Zayed Road at Interchange eight on the Jafza exit. According to Hussain Al Banna, the director of Traffic at the RTA, two cars were involved in the accident, which occurred when one of the vehicless veered from the left hand lane across the traffic to the right hand side of the road. "There are road works at interchange eight for the last year and everyday the traffic situation is good. Today, due to the accident there was a lot of congestion," said Mr al Banna.
