A seven-month-old child has died after the car his family was travelling in swerved off the road.
The infant’s parents and sister were injured in the crash, which took place on the Shoka-Al Manaai Road.
The child’s father told police that while he was driving, the car swerved suddenly before hitting a utility pole on the other side of the road.
His son was killed upon impact, said Col Ahmed Abdullah, head of RAK Police’s Al Manaai station.
Col Abdullah reminded motorists to remain cautious while driving and to avoid any form of distraction.
