SHARJAH // Drivers are to expect roadworks on Al Majaz Corniche Street from March 7 to 22.

Traffic from the Holiday Inn to the waterfront will be diverted into a service lane, while, in the opposite direction, towards the central market, there should be no delays, Sharjah RTA said.

The works are to resurface the road and widen U-turn areas, while pavements will be repainted and road markings will be added.

According to the authority, new speed bumps will be added to the revamped road to limit the amount of crashes that occur in the area.

It advises motorists to use alternative routes during the maintenance, to ensure that they reach their destinations without delays.
