ABU DHABI // Organisers of the Sheikh Zayed Festival said tens of thousands visited this year as the 22-day festival draws to a close on Friday.

The annual event is a celebration of the UAE’s rich cultural heritage and provides an insight into Emirati arts and history.

Among the myriad attractions, visitors could walk through a living museum featuring interactive activities and live demonstrations. Other attractions included the Zayed and The Horse Exhibition, Ahmad ibn Majid: the Emirati Navigator’s Museum and the historical Al Bedia Mosque. The festival, at Al Wathba, began on November 20.
