An Emirati teenager has drowned at Umbrella Beach in Fujairah.
The 17 year old was swimming with his brothers at about 7pm on Sunday when the incident happened.
He was buried at Al Ghurfa cemetery on Monday following funeral prayers at Martyr Nasser Al Bloushi Mosque.
“Paramedics tried to resuscitate him but he passed away on the beach,” said Major General Mohammed Al Kaabi, of Fujairah Police.
