DUBAI // A soldier sentenced to three months in jail for threatening to post naked pictures of two sisters on social media websites must see out his prison term the Court on Appeal ruled on Wednesday.
Emirati SA, 21, from Sharjah, denied threatening two Emirati sisters, sending images of a pornographic nature to them and insulting them on Keek, WhatsApp and Instagram in May 2013.
One of the sisters, JA, 29, said she received an online invitation from a woman called Sarah who asked her about her sister.
“When this person sent a message saying that a naked picture of me and my sister would be posted on the internet, I reported [it] to police,” JA said.
Officers discovered the social media account belonged to SA who was stationed in Bahrain. Police arrested him at Dubai International on his return to the UAE.
