Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Rob Wainwright, director of Europol, on Wednesday signed an agreement on cooperation in combating serious crime and terrorism.
The UAE is the first country in the region to sign such an agreement with the EU’s law enforcement agency.
The agreement will promote cooperation, exchange of information and expertise.
Mr Wainwright said the agreement would strengthen relations with the UAE.
