Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed received President Sooronbay Sharipovich Jeenbekov of Kyrgyzstan at Qasr Al Watan on Thursday.
The head of state was welcome by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces at the start of an official two-day state visit.
President Jeenbekov witnessed a rendition of the Kyrgyzstan national anthem, which was followed by a 21-artillery round salute.
A group of honour guards lined up in reception to greet the head of state and his official delegation.
Jeenbekov exchanged greetings with sheikhs, ministers and senior administrators who welcomed him to the UAE.
