Thirty Emirati couples, who married on Tuesday in a mass wedding held in the Western Region, welcomed a special guest on their happy day.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, attended along with other dignitaries, the state news agency Wam reported.
Mass unions often take place across the country, with one in Dubai in March last year seeing 51 couples tie the knot.
Mass weddings are held with the idea of helping Emirati couples not get into debt trying to organise a big ceremony.

Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia
The world fair will run for six months from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021.
It is expected to attract 25 million visits
