SHARJAH // Police evacuated a residential tower in Sharjah after a suspicious bag was reported late on July 28.
The police command centre was tipped off about the bag at 9.37pm and dispatched bomb units, police patrols and emergency crews to the residential building in the Al Qasimiya area.
Residents in nearby buildings were evacuated as a precaution and the area was cordoned off.
Bomb units found a laptop inside the bag which police later said had presumably been forgotten by its owner.
