Seven accused of passing information to Hizbollah

ABU DHABI // Seven people, including a state security officer, provided classified military information to Hizbollah, the Federal Supreme Court heard on Monday.

H H, a 55-year-old Emirati state security officer, is accused of handing state secrets to A H, a 48-year-old Lebanese, who is said to be a Hizbollah member. Prosecutors said he also tried to obtain information about his colleagues.

F A, a 54-year-old Egyptian geology sketcher at an oil company, is accused of giving A H unpublished information about the UAE’s energy sector

M K, 34, an employee of the Abu Dhabi Traffic and Licensing Department, allegedly gave a list of names and vehicle registrations belonging to certain individuals to S A, a 49-year-old Iraqi.

All the defendants denied the charges against them. The case was adjourned to April 18.
