DUBAI // A cook who locked a seven-year-old girl in the toilets of a restaurant and then molested her had his one-year jail term increased to two by the Court of Appeal.
M K, 25, an Indian, was convicted by the Criminal Court of molesting the British girl at the restaurant in Internet City.
The girl said she was having a meal with her parents and sisters when she asked the defendant for napkins.
“He asked me to follow him, so I did. He made me enter the toilet and joined me before he locked the door,” she said.
The girl’s mother, L O, 29, said when her daughter returned from washing her hands she was visibly upset.
M K will be deported after completing his jail term.
