Saaed hits the roads of Ajman

The accident investigators have expanded their services to include Ajman , freeing up traffic police to focus on serious incidents.

AJMAN // The private company that investigates minor traffic accidents has expanded its service to patrol Ajman’s roads.

A fleet of Saaed vehicles will soon be responding to accidents that do not involve injuries, freeing up traffic police to concentrate on more serious incidents.

Brigadier Ali Alwan, the director general of Ajman police, said the introduction of Saaed in the emirate would help to improve the level of traffic awareness and safety on the roads.

“The first thing we are going to do is to recruit staff in Ajman and we urge Emiratis to apply as they are being considered as a priority,” he said.

He said applications were being received on the police’s website. Successful candidates will be trained for six months before starting work.

Saaed staff prepare reports, including diagrams of crash scenes, to help determine fault. If there is a dispute over who is at fault, police will be called, with a case going to court if a disagreement cannot be resolved.

Last month a fleet of 20 Saaed vehicles started patrolling roads in Sharjah. The service started working in Abu Dhabi’s Mussaffah area in 2008 before branching out to the rest of the emirate and then to Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
