RAK launches business start-up scheme for young entrepreneurs

For upwards of Dh650 a month, students and graduates will be granted documents they need to start a business

Young talents are being encouraged to set-up their own businesses through a new package offered by Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone.

Final year students and new graduates will be able to start a business with a business licence, a shared workstation and a residency visa with a flat rate that starts at Dh650 a month.

They can choose from five licence types: commercial, for buying and selling goods and services; educational, for setting up an education institution or consultancy; e-commerce, for trading goods and services online; media, for starting a media-related company; and service licence, for offering services in any industry.

Ramy Jallad, chief executive of RAKEZ Group, said the package has everything they need and is good value.

“This era is brimming with young, creative talents who have a real appetite for entrepreneurship. Their drive and ideas are endless, all they need is an enabler that will help introduce their ideas to the market,” said Mr Jallad

“We launched the Mubader Package to open them up to the world of business and empower them to create solutions and new technology that will change the world as we know it."
