SHARJAH // Two men suspected of impersonating police officers have been arrested in Khor Fakkan.
Sharjah Police said the men, M M H, an Indian, and H M O, a Pakistani, told another Indian, A D S, they could arrange for criminal charges against him to be dropped in exchange for Dh5,000.
Police were tipped off about the scam and arrested the suspects as the money was being handed over.
Prosecutors say during interrogation the men admitted impersonating police officers.
They have been referred to the Public Prosecution in Khor Fakkan to face trial.
