Police arrest Afghan worker after colleague stabbed to death

ABU DHABI // Abu Dhabi Police arrested an Afghan worker who is accused of killing his co-worker at their accommodation in Al Samha region.

Police say the worker killed his colleague out of revenge because the victim refused to become intimate with him.

Col Rashid Borshid, head of CID, said worker Z K, 22, killed the man while the other workers living in the accommodations were absent, cutting the throat of K A, 21, and stabbing him nine times in the neck.

Police and investigation and rescue teams headed to the scene upon being notified of the incident. A preliminary inspection showed a body lying in a pool of blood as a result of being stabbed in the neck, police said.

The suspect was apprehended the same evening and confessed, according to police.
