ABU DHABI // Three Abu Dhabi-based organisations received the Tawdheef Recognition Award on the last day of the careers fair.
The Petroleum Institute, which conducted more than 1,000 interviews over three days, was awarded the top position. It has more than 75 vacancies and hopes that the interviews and CVs collected this week will help to fill them.
“In line with Abu Dhabi’s 2030 vision, we are working towards having one of the largest Emirati workforces in the UAE’s education sector,” said Abdullah Al Ameri, head of capabilities development and the human resources department.
“The show allowed the institute to connect directly with students and Emirati jobseekers interested in the markets that we operate.”
Following closely behind were the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, which conducted 889 interviews, and Abu Dhabi Police, which completed 860.
“The response we have had this year has been overwhelming,” said Hayete Jemai, exhibition director.
“If you were to add up the total number of interviews conducted by the winner and runners-up, they have collectively interviewed on average over 100 Emiratis, every hour, during the three-day event.”
Forty-seven organisations were in the running for an award at the Tawdheef fair.
