RAS AL KHAIMAH // Police are still searching for the parents of a newborn baby who was found abandoned outside a mosque.
The little girl, the first baby to be abandoned in the emirate since September last year, was found by worshippers on the doorstep of the mosque in Jolan just before Isha prayers on Wednesday.
She was taken to Saqr Hospital where Dr Yousef Altair, head of the hospital's accident and emergency department, said: "She is in good health and is being kept in the hospital for now."
A police investigation is continuing in the hope of tracking down her parents.
