DUBAI // An appeal against the acquittal of a salesman charged with kidnapping a woman at knifepoint and threatening to kill her if she did not agree to marry him failed.
The 34-year-old Sudanese man will now walk free after prosecutors failed to overturn the Dubai Criminal Court ruling made in August.
An Algerian woman, 30, had reported the man on December 15, 2014 but he was found not guilty of all charges. Dubai Appeal Court has now upheld that decision.
