Nominations open for $4 million Zayed Future Energy award

DUBAI // Submissions will open tomorrow for the 2014 Zayed Future Energy Prize - US$4 million award recognising achievements in renewable energy and sustainability.

Big, medium and small companies may enter, as well as charities, individuals and high schools. The closing date for submissions is August 5, 2013. In the lifetime achievement category, individuals must be nominated by a third-party.

Launched in 2008, the prize has gained global recognition with entries increasing by 300 per cent over the past five years.

Winners will be announced on January 20, 2014, at an award ceremony held in the capital as part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
