New test gives Abu Dhabi Police drug test results in five minutes

Abu Dhabi Police have signed an agreement to use the innovative test to quickly identify drug use.

ABU DHABI // A new drug-testing bottle that allows police to get results in just five minutes has been secured by Abu Dhabi Police.

The bottle contains a strip that reacts to chemicals in a urine samples to indicate drug usage.

Col Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, head of the Forensic Evidence Department, said Abu Dhabi Police would be the first to use this test in the Middle East.

Brig Saif Bou Dhfeera Al Ameri, head Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, said the decision to use the tests showed the police's keenness to use state-of-the-art innovations to benefit and improve law enforcement.
