Motorist pulled from sinking car

A Lebanese passer-by jumped into the Gulf to save an Indian man who lost control of his car and ended up in the water near the main road opposite Port Zayed. Rabee al Booboo, 33, happened to be at the scene just after 7.30pm last Friday when the motorist, MBM, swerved past and into the water. Mr al Booboo jumped in after the car and pulled the driver from his vehicle. Police, ambulance and rescue teams went to the scene and towed the car out of the water. Both men were unhurt.
