Mother stabbed to death, children and maid injured in early morning knife attack

The mother, her two children and their maid were attacked in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to Fujairah Police.

FUJAIRAH // A mother has been stabbed to death and two of her children and her maid were injured in an attack on Thursday.

Police said the 39-year-old Arab woman was killed in the early hours. Her two Emirati children – an 11-year-old girl and a son, 9 – plus their 29-year-old housemaid are being treated for stab wounds in hospital.

A 23-year-old Pakistani man was arrested and is currently being questioned by Fujairah Police.

Officers were notified about the stabbing in the Al Faseel area at 3.30am and sent officers and emergency crews.

The Arab wife, who was married to an Emirati, died of her injuries, police said, while the children and maid are receiving treatment.

Brig Mohammed Al Kaabi, Fujairah Police chief, denounced the crime and assured the public that police officers were on patrol to prevent crimes in the community.
