An IT technician sneaked into the women’s bathroom in an office building to watch her undress.
Records show that on May 17 this year, the Jordanian man followed a Filipino woman into a restroom in an office tower in Business Bay.
After she went into one of the toilets he entered the stall next to hers to watch her.
Another Filipino woman, aged 23, was washing her hands when she saw the man come out of the stall.
“I entered the restroom and as I was washing my hands I noticed someone standing inside one of the toilets, then a man came out and apologised claiming he entered by mistake thinking it was the men’s restroom,” she said.
The woman said the 23-year-old man stayed in the toilet for nearly ten minutes before coming out.
After he left, the woman told her Filipino colleague - who was using the toilet - what happened.
Both women reported the incident to security and asked to see CCTV footage from the corridor.
“He lied, he didn’t enter by mistake, we saw him on camera getting in and out of the men’s toilets less than ten minutes before the incident,” the 33-year-old victim said.
She said they saw him enter the women’s toilets several times before and so called police.
The man was arrested the same day and admitted to a sex assault charge at Dubai Criminal Court on Wednesday.
The next hearing will be on August 2.

Dr Amal Khalid Alias revealed a recent case of a woman with daughters, who specifically wanted a boy.
A semen analysis of the father showed abnormal sperm so the couple required IVF.
Out of 21 eggs collected, six were unused leaving 15 suitable for IVF.
A specific procedure was used, called intracytoplasmic sperm injection where a single sperm cell is inserted into the egg.
On day three of the process, 14 embryos were biopsied for gender selection.
The next day, a pre-implantation genetic report revealed four normal male embryos, three female and seven abnormal samples.
Day five of the treatment saw two male embryos transferred to the patient.
The woman recorded a positive pregnancy test two weeks later.
