DUBAI // A jobless Emirati kidnapped, stripped naked and tried to rape a male 19-year-old student, a Dubai court heard on Monday.
The 25-year-old was confronted at Dubai Criminal Court with charges of kidnap, attempted rape, sex assault, physical assault and theft, all of which he denied.
Prosecutors said that on April 24 last year the defendant, along with a number of other men who are at large, lured the Emirati student into their car then attacked him.
“I met him near a gaming centre in Abu Hail and we chatted then his friends arrived and suggested a short drive,” said the student, who was then taken to a deserted area in Al Warqa and allegedly assaulted by the defendant and his friends, breaking his nose in the process.
He said they wanted to take turns raping him and they ripped off his clothes then took pictures of him naked before they let him go.

The teenager’s car was also allegedly stolen by the defendant but it also turned up in Ajman.
The student’s father, a 48-year-old officer at the Ministry of Interior, told prosecutors that his son was in very bad shape when he returned home on the day of the incident.
When the defendant was arrested, police found two pictures of the victim on his phone.
