ABU DHABI // An Emirati has appealed his conviction for injuring an IT manager while the man worked on his computer.
The Appeals Court heard on Sunday that the defendant, K G, shoved the man because he did not want him to delete some data.
“You did not hurt him while doing so? He did not fall and get injured after you pushed him?” Chief Justice Dr Khairi Al Kabbash said.
K G said he only pushed the IT manager away with his hand, to stop him from deleting the data, and did not hurt him.
His defence attorney said although a medical report showed the man had been injured, there was no evidence to prove it was related to the incident.
The First Instance Court originally fined K G Dh1,000.
The verdict from the Appeals Court is due on November 19.
