Man arrested in Ajman for growing cannabis plants

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the man's home, where cannabis plants were seized.

AJMAN // A man accused of growing cannabis has been arrested by police and charged with possession with the intent of selling the drug.

Following a tip-off, the Drug Enforcement Administration of Ajman Police raided the defendant’s home and seized cannabis plants being grown there. The defendant said the cannabis seeds for the plants were bought outside the country.

Colonel Saeed Humaid Nasser, director of the Drug Enforcement Administration, said the case has now been referred to prosecutors.
