The vast majority of companies inspected in relation to midday break regulations have been following the rules.
Inspectors from the Permanent Committee of Labours’ Affairs in Dubai made 10,000 visits to companies to check if they were complying with the law.
On 9,662 visits, companies were found to be following the rules, the state news agency, Wam, reported.
Breaches were discovered during 338 of the visits.
No labourers should be working on sites between noon and 3pm daily because of the heat.
