DUBAI // The police human rights department is reaching out to help labourers in the emirate.
The General Department of Human Rights at Dubai Police is launching a campaign called “Watering the Labourer”, which will involve members of the police department visiting labour camps and work sites to interact with and provide refreshments to labourers.
The campaign aims to highlight the humanitarian role of Dubai Police and to emphasise the importance of cooperation and collaboration with all members of the community, according to the department.
The initiative has been launched during the hottest time of the year in the region, when the UAE government’s mandate for a midday break for workers is in effect.
