The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has begun the distribution of emergency relief aid to families in Berbera, a city in the northwestern Berbera district of Somaliland.

The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has started distributing emergency relief aid to families in Berbera, a city in the north-west Berbera district of Somaliland.

The aid package was sent following the instructions of President Sheikh Khalifa, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to alleviate the suffering of the Somali people.

The programme aims to hand out 5,000 food baskets, an official at the foundation told state news agency Wam.
