DUBAI // A five-star hotel executive who molested a colleague half his age after asking her to help fix his computer has been locked up for six months.
Indian S P, 53, was found guilty by the Dubai Criminal Court of sexually assaulting Tunisian E M, 26, at the hotel where they worked on May 27 this year. The name of the hotel was not revealed in court records.
“It was 5pm when he came to me at the business lounge and asked me to help him fix his computer’s printing settings,” said the Tunisian, who asked S P to send her the file by email and she would print it for him.
However, she said S P insisted that she go with him to fix his computer. “I did and he offered that I sit on his chair but I refused and when I bent to check his computer, he touched me from the back,” said the woman.
She told her boss, who advised her to report S P to police, which she did.
Prosecution records stated that footage from the hotel’s cameras showed S P touching E M, but he told prosecutors he did not mean to.
He will be deported after serving his jail term.
