“Hot to very hot” weather can be expected across the country on Wednesday, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said.
It will be hazy and cloudy in parts, especially in the eastern areas. but temperatures will continue to remain high.
Temperatures along the coast are likely to reach 39-46°C with temperatures in the interior reaching a high of 45-48°C. It will not be any cooler in the mountains either, with highs of 37°C forecast.
Humidity will also be high, reaching 70-90 per cent along the coast. The light northwest wind blowing at between 15-28 kph may offer a welcome respite.
The seas will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman sea.
With humidity expected to climb overnight, some coastal areas may experience mist or fog, especially in the western areas.
