DUBAI // The skies are to be lit up for nine consecutive nights with fireworks displays for Eid Al Adha.
The fireworks will run daily from October 2 to 11 at 9pm over Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim 1 and Kite Beach.
Other events scheduled in Dubai include family entertainment and concerts, organisers said.
The city has also been decorated with colourful flags with the Eid in Dubai logo and multi-coloured lights.
The Eid Al Adha events started on Thursday and continue to October 11.
The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, part of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, organised the fireworks displays.
Public-sector employees’ Eid Al Adha holiday starts on Friday, October 3, and ends the following Monday.
Dubai has implemented plans for food-control measures and the cleaning of Eid Musallah prayer locations and public areas, officials said on Tuesday. Swimming pools have also been renovated ahead of the holiday.
