Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s youngest son has been seen for the first time after his father, the Vice President of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, put his picture up on Instagram.

The picture showed Sheikh Mohammed carrying his son, who's wearing a blue T-shirt with an image of a palm tree, and in pampers.

Sheikh Mohammed uploaded the image under a caption in Arabic, “I introduce you to my son Zayed, meet my son Zayed”.

Four hours after the image was posted, more than 1,400 users commented.

Wam, the state news agency, said Zayed is now about 18 months

Sheikh Mohammed’s instagram handle is @hhshkmohd.

He has become a key figure on social media within the UAE, frequently posting news from his twitter account @HHShkMohd which is followed by more than 1.6 million users.

Sheikh Mohammed is also pictured below with his daughter, saying of the photo: "Enjoying a quiet moment with my daughter Al Jalila."
