Heavy rain reported in UAE on Friday morning but unlikely to hit Dubai Rugby Sevens

Heavy to moderate rainfall was reported across the UAE on Friday morning.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) posted videos on Twitter of heavy rainfall in the Al Bidiyah region of Fujairah.

The NCM had forecast there was a likelihood of rain in parts of the country on Friday, particularly in the eastern and northern parts of the country.

It is unlikely to rain in Abu Dhabi or Dubai where crowds have gathered for the annual Rugby Sevens this weekend.
