The third edition of I Deserve A Life zakat campaign has been launched by the Friends of Cancer Patients group to provide treatment and care for cancer patients who cannot afford it.
FoCP will use zakat money paid by individuals and organisations to cover medical treatment costs of cancer patients in the country.
The Permanent Fatwa Committee in Sharjah approved the campaign, which means that the zakat money can be spent on needy patients’ treatment.
Money raised will be used to cover costs of chemotherapy and other procedures.
