We Run Dubai will be held on December 19 in Downtown Dubai, Nike Middle East has announced.
We Run Dubai is a 10-kilometre race which forms part of the global Nike We Run series.
“One of our roles as the sports council is to promote the sports culture in Dubai,” said Dr Ahmad Al Sharif, secretary general, Dubai Sports Council (DSC). “We are very pleased to partner with Nike for We Run Dubai this year because it offers a fantastic opportunity for everyone to include sports in their lifestyle and challenge themselves to become better athletes.”
In the lead-up to race day, runners can receive personalised training programmes by joining Nike+, at 20 million strong the world’s largest running community. The Nike Running Middle East Facebook page and Twitter account are resources for runners looking to train, offering tips and advice from athletes and coaches.
Registration is open until December 6 for anyone over 16. Runners over 21 can register on the Nike We Run Dubai homepage. Those under 21 will need to present a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
