A week-long forum to encourage people with special needs to play a more active role in society has been launched, Wam, the state news agency, reported. Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan, chairman of the Al Maktoum Foundation, opened the “We Are With You” forum in Dubai on Friday.
The event will include entertainment shows for children as well as food, and handicraft exhibitions. The forum is being supported by a number of government departments and private sector organisations.
