RAKBank charity cycle raises Dh100,000

RAKBank has raised Dh100,000 for good causes following a charity cycling event.

Last month, the bank organised the RAKBank Ride — cycle for a cause initiative, where more than 40 companies participated and cycled 22.8km at Marjan Island in the emirate.

According to the announcement, half of the money raised was donated to the Ras Al Khaimah Autism Centre.

The other half of the money will be donated to charities chosen by the winning teams.

A team from Wildlife Middle East, one of the winners, chose to use their prize money to fund programmes for children with special needs.

The second-placed winner, Gulf Business Machines, chose to support projects aimed at supporting orphans while the third placed team, Banyan Tree Al Wadi, donated their share to develop wells in places that do not have access to clean water.
