Hospitals in Ras Al Khaimah treated 23 cases of heat exhaustion between May and July.
Dr Abdullah Al Nuaimi, director of Ras Al Khaimah Medical Zone, said 13 cases were received in Abdullah hospital and 10 in Al Saqr Hospital.
Dr Al Nuaimi said that campaigns are held each year to remind people, especially constructions workers, of preventive measures to be taken when outside during in summer.
Pamphlets in Arabic, English, Chinese and Urdu, as well as cold water and fruits were handed out.
