Eighty-two automatic defibrillators have been set up across the country in case of emergencies and cases of heart failure.
The Ministry of Interior set up the defibrillators, which are used when the heart does not beat properly. They have a built-in computer that can identify such cases and provide an electric shock to restore heartbeats.
Seventy-eight courses were conducted to train staff at shopping centres and other public places on how to operate the defibrillators. Trainings were conducted by experts accredited by the American Heart Association.
Refresher courses were also conducted for those who had already received training.
