The Dubai Health Authority has donated 25 cartons of medicine worth Dh1.25 million to the Emirates Red Crescent.

The medications include those used by diabetics as well as antibiotics and other essentials.

Humaid Al Qatami, chairman of the board, received a delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent at DHA headquarters.

“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent by donating medicines to help those in need,” he said. “Taking part in such humanitarian initiatives is in line with the vision of our leaders and with the DHA strategy.”

In January, the authority donated medicine worth Dh2m to the Show Compassion campaign.

Mohammed Al Zaroni, manager of Emirates Red Crescent, thanked DHA for its support, particularly in health care, medicines and medical equipment.

“These contributions have had a positive impact on relief efforts and projects,” he said. “Charitable activities are in line with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and we highly appreciate the DHA’s initiatives in this field.”
