ABU DHABI // Children at Rahba Hospital in Al Shahama were the recipients of gifts and goodwill after a recent visit from a delegation of government officials.

During their visit, representatives from the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Shahama Municipal Center, also offered the children prayers for an early recovery and return to their families.

As part of the visit programme, carried out by the the community services team at the municipality, officials visited children in their rooms to talk and inquire about their health, giving them moral support and encouragement.

Those behind the visit said the children were appreciative of the initiative of the Municipality and its psychological effect on them and their families.

Visiting patients is a religious and moral duty on its own right and the municipality is intent on taking such humanitarian initiatives, said the officials

The visit comes as part of the municipality’s strategy and social initiatives, targeting the community and participation in social events.

The “visits to the sick depict a positive model of communal partnership with other entities which the municipality is keen to foster through a variety of community-orientated programs in partnership with public and private entities,” said officials.

“It also echoes its commitment to offer a positive mode of community partnership with Rahba Hospital and all strategic partners in the public interest.”
