SHARJAH // More than 3,000 people have received free examinations through a health awareness initiative offered by Sharjah Health Authority and University Hospital Sharjah.

The initiative was launched last year as a part of the authority and UHS’s corporate responsibility to the emirate. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular examinations to help patients detect medical conditions or diseases early.

Since the campaign’s inception, UHS has offered free examinations to people who work at nine different entities, including Sharjah Economic Development Department, Consultative Council of Sharjah, Directorate of Town Planning and Survey, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, Hamriyah Free Zone, Sahara Centre and Mega Mall.
