Guests donate thousands of clothes to help Wild Wadi campaign

DUBAI // Thousands of clothes were collected by the Wild Wadi Waterpark in Dubai during a Ramadan charity campaign.

UAE residents were asked to donate three items of clothing every Monday in exchange for free entry into the waterpark last month and the clothes were given to the Beit Al Khair Society, a non-profit group that supports underprivileged families in the UAE.

It took 15 containers loaded on to four trucks to carry the clothes donated by 5,256 guests to the park, according to a statement from the Wild Wadi Waterpark.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the support we received from the community for the initial launch of the campaign and we’re looking forward to making this an annual campaign,” said Chris Perry, Wild Wadi’s general manager.
